Gas price in our country has not increased since 2019, says Hammad Azhar

Federal Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar stated that the price of gas in our country has not increased since 2019, during a press conference in Lahore.

The Federal Minister for Energy said that, “The gas reserves are falling by 9%. Gas prices rose up to 5% in the world market. The price of gas in our country has not increased since 2019,” adding that, “People were concerned about the fuel adjustment charges. Electricity and gas issues have been under review.”

While talking about the development projects in Lahore the Federal Minister for Energy said that, “Work on gas, electricity and other projects have been underway in Lahore. The process of reorganization of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has begun. The government is focusing on the development of backward areas. Development projects have been underway in Lahore for the first time. We will make Lahore a fort of PTI.”

“I admit that electricity prices had gone up. In the coming days, electricity will be generated from our own reserves,” added Hammad Azhar.
