Iran Ready to Expand Energy Cooperation, Emphasizes Strong Ties with Pakistan

Iranian President Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi expressed readiness to enhance energy cooperation with Pakistan during his visit to the country. Commending Pakistan’s stance on the Gaza situation, President Raisi highlighted the enduring bond between the two nations.

Speaking at the mausoleum of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal, President Raisi emphasized the role of poetry in strengthening bilateral relations. He praised Allama Iqbal’s legacy as a bridge between Pakistan and Iran, noting the deep historical, religious, and cultural ties between the two countries.

President Raisi laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum, offering prayers for the enhancement of Pak-Iran relations and the well-being of Muslims in Gaza. He also received a briefing on the restoration efforts in Lahore’s historical sites.

Addressing students and faculty at Government College University (GCU), President Raisi emphasized the importance of arts, sciences, and technology in national development. He highlighted the shared stance of Pakistan and Iran on the Palestine issue and underscored the need for comprehensive strategies in the education sector.

President Raisi’s visit underscores Iran’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Pakistan, particularly in the energy sector, and reinforces the strong historical and cultural ties between the two nations.
