KARACHI: Treet Battery Limited has officially launched its lithium-ion battery product line under the brand name “Lithion NeoPower,” as the company moves to capitalise on Pakistan’s rapidly expanding solar and energy storage market.
In a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company announced that the new product portfolio includes advanced Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS), featuring both Residential Energy Storage System Series and Lead-Acid Replacement Series.
According to the company, the lithium-ion solutions are designed to replace conventional lead-acid batteries while offering improved efficiency, reliability, and longer operational life for residential and commercial consumers.
The company stated that the launch complements its existing battery business and strengthens its product portfolio to meet rising demand for modern and future-ready energy storage systems across Pakistan.
Earlier this year, Treet Corporation Limited CEO Syed Sheharyar Ali revealed that the company had partnered with a leading Chinese manufacturer to enter Pakistan’s fast-growing lithium-ion battery and inverter market.
“We’ve partnered with a major Chinese manufacturer to launch lithium-ion batteries plus inverters — about five SKUs across different sizes, including tower and wall-mounted solutions,” he said in an interview with BR Research.
Pakistan has witnessed a significant shift toward alternative energy sources in recent years, particularly solar power, amid rising electricity tariffs and growing concerns over energy reliability.
According to the Policy Research Institute for Equitable Development (PRIED), Pakistan has already installed approximately 33 gigawatts of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity nationwide, reflecting one of the fastest rates of solarisation in the region.
Industry analysts believe the increasing adoption of rooftop solar systems is also driving strong demand for lithium-ion battery storage solutions, especially among households and businesses seeking uninterrupted and cost-effective power supply.
