Shanghai: Trinasolar, a global leader in smart photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage solutions, has signed a 200MW Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shwe Wah Yaung Agriculture Production Company Limited (SWY) to distribute its latest Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 solar modules across Myanmar over the next three years.
The agreement was formalized during the Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Networking Summit held in Shanghai on June 18, 2026, where businesses from both countries gathered to strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, and industrial development.
SWY, one of Myanmar’s leading rice producers, has also established itself as a major wholesale distributor of complete solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) modules. Under the MoU, the two companies will focus on serving Myanmar’s growing residential, commercial, and industrial (C&I) solar markets.
Trinasolar’s Vertex N G3 modules are designed for high-power commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects, delivering power output of up to 760W with module efficiency reaching 24.5%. Meanwhile, the Vertex S+ G3 modules incorporate the company’s advanced n-type i-TOPCon Ultra technology in a compact dual-glass design, making them particularly suitable for residential and commercial rooftop installations where space is limited.
The Myanmar agreement further strengthens Trinasolar’s expanding footprint across the Asia-Pacific region. It follows recent strategic partnerships, including a 1GW MoU with Solar Juice in Australia for Vertex S+ G3 modules and a 600MW MoU with Ecohope Solar covering the distribution of Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 modules across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. These agreements reflect increasing market confidence in Trinasolar’s latest-generation solar technologies.
Commenting on the partnership, Lu Maw Myint Maung, Managing Director of SWY, said the demand for solar energy solutions in Myanmar continues to grow across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. He noted that SWY’s experience in solar system distribution, combined with Trinasolar’s advanced Vertex G3 technology, will enable customers to access reliable, high-efficiency, and scalable solar solutions.
Dave Wang, Subregion Head (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar) at Trinasolar, said the agreement reinforces growing regional confidence in the company’s Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 product portfolio. He added that collaborating with experienced local partners such as SWY will help accelerate the adoption of Trinasolar’s latest-generation solar technologies across diverse market segments in Myanmar.
