KARACHI: Mega Motor Company (MMC), the official partner of BYD in Pakistan, has marked the first anniversary of the BYD Shark 6 in the country with the launch of an exclusive new colour, “Outback Orange.” The anniversary edition was unveiled at the recently held Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 in Lahore.
The BYD Shark 6 is Pakistan’s first plug-in hybrid pickup, combining electric performance, off-road capability and advanced hybrid technology for customers seeking a combination of utility and adventure.
Commenting on the milestone, Danish Khaliq, Vice President Sales & Strategy, BYD Pakistan – MMC, said, “From the beginning, we saw an opportunity to offer Pakistani customers something that was not available in this segment, a pickup that combines the capability people expect with the technology and driving experience of a plug-in hybrid. One year on, the response to the Shark 6 reinforces our belief that when customers are given the right options, they are ready to embrace new technology.”
The BYD Shark 6 features BYD’s Super DMO technology, delivering 436 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, with a claimed combined range of up to 800 kilometres. The anniversary edition retains the performance and capabilities of the existing Shark 6 while introducing the distinctive Outback Orange colour for customers seeking a more striking variant.
The pickup combines its plug-in hybrid powertrain with all-terrain capability and dedicated Mud, Snow and Sand driving modes, providing versatility across different driving conditions. Its extended combined range is designed to support both daily commuting and longer journeys.
As part of the first-anniversary celebrations, all bookings made between October 1 and October 31, 2026 will qualify for vehicle delivery within 30 days*, subject to full payment and availability of select colours. Customers will also receive a one-year complimentary service maintenance package.
