Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday restored the sales tax registration of K-Electric, reinstating its active taxpayer status.
According to details available on the FBR’s online portal, the utility’s registration now reflects an “active sales tax status,” confirming that its registration has been reactivated.
The development follows earlier changes in the company’s tax registration status, though no official statement has been issued by the FBR or K-Electric regarding the reason behind the temporary suspension or its restoration.
With the reinstatement, K-Electric’s compliance status has returned to normal on the tax authority’s database.
