TONGWEI Earns Three Major Global Clean Energy Recognitions in 2026

New-Project22

TONGWEI has strengthened its standing in the global clean energy industry after receiving three major international recognitions in 2026, highlighting its performance in sustainability, bankability, manufacturing and technological innovation.

The company secured the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the third consecutive year, maintained its position on the BloombergNEF (BNEF) Q3 2026 PV Module Tier 1 List for 16 consecutive quarters, and was named to the S&P Global Energy 2026 Tier 1 Cleantech Companies List for the second consecutive year.

Third consecutive EcoVadis Gold Medal

In its latest EcoVadis assessment, TONGWEI achieved an overall score of 84 out of 100, placing the company among the top 3% of companies assessed globally and earning Gold status for the third consecutive year.

The company recorded strong scores across all four assessment categories, including 82 in Environment, 85 in Labor & Human Rights, 86 in Ethics and 84 in Sustainable Procurement.

The recognition reflects TONGWEI’s continued efforts to strengthen responsible business practices across its global operations, including environmental management, employee welfare, corporate compliance and sustainable supply chain development.

16 consecutive quarters on BNEF Tier 1 list

TONGWEI has also retained its place on the BNEF PV Module Tier 1 List for 16 consecutive quarters. The list is widely used by financial institutions, project developers and EPC companies as an indicator of PV manufacturers’ bankability and project track record.

The company’s sustained Tier 1 status is supported by its vertically integrated manufacturing model, spanning high-purity polysilicon, solar cells and PV modules. This integrated structure enables greater control over product quality and supply continuity across the photovoltaic value chain.

Second consecutive S&P Global Tier 1 recognition

TONGWEI was also named a Tier 1 Cleantech Company by S&P Global Energy for the second consecutive year.

The recognition evaluates a range of factors, including market presence, shipment volumes, manufacturing capabilities, financial performance and sustainability.

Technology remains a key pillar of TONGWEI’s global competitiveness. The company continues to advance its high-efficiency TNC module portfolio, including the latest TNC 3.0 series, which offers power output of up to 770W and efficiency of 24.8% for utility-scale, commercial and residential applications.

Together, the three recognitions underline TONGWEI’s continued progress across critical areas of the PV industry, from sustainability and responsible operations to bankability, manufacturing strength and technological innovation.

As the global energy transition accelerates, TONGWEI said it will continue investing in technology, manufacturing capabilities and sustainability to provide reliable photovoltaic solutions and long-term value to customers and partners worldwide.
